Having suffered a bad back from sitting on my wallet for too many years driving a car I knew when I had a problem.
My previous practitioner was not available and other forms of back manipulation had not impressed me. A recommendation from a fellow BNI member led me to Carragh's room.
A comprehensive background was obtained following a check on my stance. Very obvious from the start that Carragh knew her stuff. I was informed I practised martial arts (Karate) purely by the stance I assumed.
Having ascertained my problem she proceeded to actively cure it. This took several sessions but cured it was with some very satisfying cracks and pops with no pain during the treatment.
I now attend on roughly a quarterly basis for a MOT on my back to ensure my previous very painful stiff and distorted back is kept under control.
I would highly recommend Carragh's Osteopathic services to anyone who has any problems with joints, muscles and bones as she is highly skilled and has given me over 3 years of excellent treatment.

Carragh first treated my daughter at the age of 6 weeks with cranial osteopathy, as she seemed to have a slight twist in her neck from birth. It took 2 treatments to sort this out, and a side benefit was that my daughter's ribcage opened up. As she was born by elective CS, she had not experienced the massaging effect of travelling down during labour, and was not breathing very deeply, but Carragh was able to release her ribcage allowing her to breathe properly.
This was immediately apparent - in fact, it was like turning up the volume as Lakshmi went from little quiet cries to full out roars right after the treatment. Carragh has also since been able to help when Lakshmi has gone through growth spurts and become uncomfortable and tight. A classic response to treatment is a very long refreshing nap or sleep.

Following a fall onto his head he was fractious, not sleeping well and lost his appetite - all three factors which were unusual for him. Carragh treated him with the utmost kindness and professionalism and he responded amazingly allowing her to gently manipulate his skull bones. I was impressed with the calmness she achieved in him. Following just the one required treatment James seemed back to normal - sleeping and eating well and with renewed bounce and vigour.

I was treated by Lucy for extreme lower back pain. Before my visit I had trouble walking and sitting. Lucy proceeded to diagnose and treat me. I was made to feel at ease as the treatment was taking effect . After the first visit with Lucy, not only could I walk and sit with very little pain but could return to my work place. I had two more treatments with Lucy and I am now pain free which is something that my own doctor could not achieve.

After having my baby daughter diagnosed with reflux at 4 weeks old, a friend suggested going to see an Osteopath for treatment. My baby would rarely settle throughout the day and would often scream due to her discomfort. Having been to just three sessions with Carragh at the Osteopathic surgery, there has been a major transformation in my daughters behaviour. The relaxing and non-invasive treatment means that my daughter is now able to sleep during the day. Her reflux has almost stopped completely-she is now a more relaxed and contented baby which has made things alot easier for me! Though I have made a great recovery from brain surgery some years ago I had been left with a residual problem in my scalp due to nerve damage. I also had pain and restricted movement in my neck due to muscle problems. I couldn’t for example look over my left shoulder
I was nervous about seeing an osteopath, but Lucy immediately put me at ease and developed a series of treatments taking full account of the injury I had suffered. She suggested cranial osteopathy as part of the treatment programme and although I was sceptical at first the results have been amazing- the tingling in my scalp has disappeared after 10 years. I have just completed a course of treatment with Colette, designed to alleviate the regular occurrence of severe migraine headaches. My consultant neurologist had suggested a course of treatment in case of there being a structural element to my problem.
On first meeting Colette, I was impressed by her close attention to my description of the problem and by her ability to find and treat many different sites of tension. I had no idea there were so many ways to manipulate a human body! Although the manipulation was thorough, it was pain free.
During the course of treatment for my migraines, I strained my lower back and again Colette was able to work her magic. I am delighted to report that I have not had a migraine for 4 weeks and my back is pain free once again.

After a few sessions, my symptoms made a marked improvement and I was at last able to get through the day with minimum discomfort and without getting those horrid shooting pains up my neck.
Anna is a great Osteopath. She is meticulous is what she does, asks loads of questions so you feel confident that she addresses the problem straight away. Plus I got lots of help and advice about posture and exercise.
